Jurassic Park in 3-D

Jurassic Park is one of my all time favorite dino movies. I remember seeing it back 20 years ago in theaters. What a breakthrough for it's time,and showing the possiblity of bringing dinosaurs back from extinction. But is it that simple? News documentries had reported on this movie and it's concept. It just can't be done, as there would be large gaps in the dino DNA, and filling those gaps with frog DNA wouldn't work. Although some biologist and scientists have attempted to do this, so far they managed to somewhat perfect the technique of cloning animals, and perhaps creating their own creatures. They said that it was all matter of flipping the switches within the celular structure or something, as they managed to create some kind of emu bird or something. But with movies, these days, sometimes the sci fi of the technology used in the story, will maybe one day be made into sci-fact.
             Yeah, who wouldn't want to have their own real dino as a pet to love and care for their own, that is unless it gets too big and consumes you as it's next meal. Anyway, with Mr. John Hammond's dream and his theme park, it's enough to blow away the imagination of people young and old. I mean walking around a park where live dinosaurs roam once again? Sounds like nothing but trouble. Anyway, with the release of this movie, lots of promotions were held and I remember them all.
The Smithaven Mall had a Dino exhibit, where in the center court, large animatronic dinos moved and roared. There was educational material, and the animatronic T-rex was one of the few dinos you could controll. But I think it was only a half size replica, no wonder why I was able to look directly into his mouth as he roared. There was a promotional thing as free t-shirts were given out at the customer service booth. You just had to show them the coupon from the advertisement and a receipt of $15.00 or more. By the time I got there with the stuff, they ran out of shirts, and gave me a beach towel with the mall logo on it. The last I've seen of those shirts was when an old lady was wearing it and was tickled pink as she walked excitedly with her friends down the mall corridor.
          Fast food restaurants had Jurassic park cups, and I managed to  get a collection of unopened Jurassic park  movie cards  with some of them having hologram cards. I also managed to get at a garage sale Jurassic Park 1,2,3, the soft cover movie storybook, and the hard cover movie storybook of We're Back a Dinosaur's Story, which debuted in theaters at the same time Jurassic park was in theaters. (still have a major crush on Elsa the female pteradactyl.) When I got Jurassic Park on VHS back in the 1990's, my mom had asked me lots of times if she could borrow it to watch it. I even remember that my older sister and my mom both got excited when I showed them the JP movie story books I got.
      Now as for  the characters, I felt sorry for Dr. Grant and his wife Mrs. Ellie Statler as they both went to JP as it was right up their alley, but little did they realize that Mr. John Hammon'd dream was their worst nightmare as they almost got gobbled up alive, and looked after Mr. Hammond's grankids as well. I always thought that Dr. Grant looked a little like the original Indiana Jones, and Mr. John Hammond somehow reminds me of the image of the Kernal from KFC, or the Frugal Gourmet guy.  Now for Ian Malcom, and all his theorys of Chaos and life, he does prove his point as life will always find a way, as everything is constantly changing and if you interfear with the natural ways of life, you will have Chaos and things will be out of controll. You can't supress and controll something that's been living 65 million years ago, it will act as it did back then and even now if you brought it back to life.
          I do love dinosaurs, and have seen the Walking with Dinosaur's Live, been to the Natural History Museum, the Dinosaur Walk Museum. And have been harshly critisized with my thoughts of Pterasurs being dinosaurs. They've all corrected me and told me I was wrong, however it's true that dinosaurs evolved into birds, and you can't miss the evidence that pterasaurs had bones that were strong and hallow, just like birds. And they built nests in hight places, just like birds do, and you can't miss the image of the beak and bird-like appearance of them. But to me dino facts aren't etched in stone, as there's still lots more to figure out. Sure the basics can be known on if it was a carnivore, herbavore, what it ate, etc. But not everything is known about dinosaurs as new discoveries are made, which changes the dino facts all the  time.
So even if the pros say what it is and it's a fact, I tend to think a little differently about it and have my own opinion, and I guess that's what starts alot of arguments and fights.
So with this I leave a dumb joke. I look forward to seeing Jurassic Park in 3-D in theaters, however, I won't go back without Allo and the Dinosaucers, as I may be able to go in and get out alive and in one piece, as long as the Tyrannos don't attenpt to take controll over the park and the dinos.
