At first I didn't see this in the movie theater, since I'm not a movie person. But when I saw it on tv, I really liked it. So, in town where sardines were the main source of food, everyone got sick and tired of eating sardines. Even with Brent being the spokes baby to advertise the product since he was a baby, everyone seemed to enjoy and acknowlede and recognize him. He still gets into his part by wearing a diaper underneathe his outfit. Anyway, an inventor named Flint Lockwood, in the past he came up with various inventions hoping that it would revolutionize the world. But they all seem to backfire and caused nothing but problems. His dad wanted Flint to quit the inventing and come work in his sardine shop.
The problem is that Flint has inventing in his blood, and with his new invention the FLUDSUMER, that will make water into food, he came soo close to making it work, however after a huge major power failure as a result of the devices malfuntion, Flint's invention just needed a little more power to work, a few hundred thousand megajolts. He takes his invention and sneaks it to the nearest power plant hoping that it will power his invention to work. But a police officer stops Flint and gets suspiscous on his actions, and trouble was brewing. Flint maaged to distract the policeman to bring power to his device. While the crowd was watching the unveiling of the town's new themepark dedicated to sardines, Flint climbs the electrical towers to power up his device sending him on a flying through town. The whole town is messed up and everyone is mad at Flint.
He thought his invention was a dud, as it had disappeared into the clouds never to be seen again. Moment's later, turns out that the Fludsumer had formed a storm cloud and used the water to generate a food storm, and it began to rain cheeseburgers. Flint's invention was a success, and the town was gong to be saved. Everyone loved it and Flint was a success, as everyone began to make requests of foods that would be falling from the sky. While this was going on, Flint developed a crush on a woman, who was a weather reporter, but had a hard time expressing his feelings. So upon asking her out on a date, he impressed her by making a giant jello mold, which I thought was awesome. Everything inside was made of jello, as they bounced around inside and slid down a jello slide into the pool. That was just awesome. Suddenly the Fludsumer began to mutate the food and it just got bigger. The town was being destroyed and it was up to Flint to stop the machine. So he builds a flying car and goes up to the device that has formed a giant meatball as it's homebase. Water goes inside the top of the machine and a food storm exits the bottom. So while Flint and his girlfriend are inside the machine, they overcome various obstacles and battle out food monsters for Flint to get to the device and shut it off. It wasn't easy, as at first, the kill code he created and was e-mailed by his dad from his computer was the wrong file sent. So instead he shut the destroyed the machine with his spray can of instant shoes. The device exploded and the town was saved.
That does sound like a possibilty as this may be sci fiction for the movie, but one day it can be sci fact. Some techi person will attempt to do this one day to revolutionize the food thing. But with the town coverd in giant sized food leftovers, anything is possible. Nobody will ever go hungry. But if the food was made from water, wouldn't you think that the food would return to water and flood the town?
I love the food, and maybe they should promote this within a ride in a theme park, and have your picture takem with giant sized food, and or Flint and the others. I laughed at Flint's monkey friend Steve, as he has a craving for Gummy Bears. Personaly, they should've made a game with this on their website. Steve would've somehow made it rain gummy bears and the lab from the Fludsumer and the lab is quickly getting filled with colorful gummy bears. So to stop the flood of gummy bears, you would click on 3 or more gummy bears of the same color to get rid of the pile. And as you progress to higher levels, the Fludsumer would dispense the gummy bears faster, and the game would be over when the lab gets filled with too many gummy bears. Or maybe Steve would save chew and swallow town from an a attack of giant gummybears by shooting them down or something. I just think that it's hilarious with Steve's obsession of Gummy Bears.
I had a thought that if this story was performed live on stage, then it would be dinner and a show, literaly. You won't need a menu to decide what to eat, just hold up your plate when the Fludsumer starts to launch it's food during cetain scenes.
